After a couple of hours, I got a message that I got selected and I was going to receive a "startup check" to buy the materials I needed since it was a full remote job. They sent me a check of $4,950. I deposited the check in my account on Friday June 21st and they requested the confirmation of the deposit to proceed with "the next steps". Next day, Saturday June 22nd, initially, they requested me to purchase 2 Amex Gold Gift cards of $500 to purchase "software's" so I could start working. I started thinking it was a really weird process, so I started asking a lot of questions and stopped replying to the messages. Today, June 6/26, the check got reversed from my account so I ended up losing the $1000 + fees.
I was approached by email by a Vicky Lei and Katrina Warner, supposably Recruiters from Natera Inc. I looked for both "recruiters" on Linkedin and could find them but I do believe they're fake profiles.
