Type of a scam Rental
By the time she sent me the rental agreement to look at, I knew it was fake. The information and ID they provided for "proof" looked extremely altered and photoshopped. A reverse image search revealed it had been used by a previous scammer as well. Since this was someone posing as a military personnel, I had my friend check with their brother who is in the military. It was clearly altered and possibly forged since some of the identifying features didn't even make sense, like the solid blue area where the name goes.
Some back and forth emails also showed that they used an excuse for being on base to not be able to meet in person or tour the property before any payment was received.
I looked up the property on Zillow and it also noted the property was not for sale.
