I received a certified letter from eBay| Wal-Mart Survey program, with a check for 2,380.60, to buy 750 dollar eBay cards with from three different stores and keep 380 for myself,. Well whoever it is , is horrible at math; you spend 750 times 3 is 2,250. So how am I to keep 380 out of 2,380.60 in first place.? What [censored]! ?

I recieved text message looking for secret shoppers.

I replied, received a check for $1967.00. The letter that came with the check stated that the check should be for $1967.80. And getting it deposited today would guarantee me an extra $200 in my next assignment. I was to keep $367.80 for my compensation. I was to go to the nearest store (they gave a list of stores) and purchase ebay gift cards in any denomination worth
$1600, also today.

I was to open and scratch the silver off the back and send them photos of the front and back of the cards. And not throw away the cards as they would be used in forthcoming assinment.(why would anyone throw away $1600 worth of gift cards?) (I imagine that having pictures of the front and back of the card gives them a way to get that $1600 back after claiming the were stolen?)

This is a secret shopper scam that texted me. They then mailed me a check via priority mail for $2,450.52 to “purchase” $2,000 worth of EBay gift cards from various retailers. I was to take pictures of the gift cards after scratching off the film on the back and send them to the email address on the letter.
