This was an ad for a boat for sale on Craigslist. They stated they were a company that helps people sell items. We had agreed on a price. I wanted to speak to a human before transferring the money. This is where it was obvious it was a scam. No one answers calls at their business. They had one person actually call me. Barely spoke English did not answer the questions I had and lied to me. Instead of trying to ease any concerns about not being able to get anyone on the phone. Then a process of calling with no answers. Only will they email with non-answers and insults. They also created an AI-generated voice recording saying it was me calling them vulgar words. Then, they threatened to reach out to my brother to try and make me look bad.

I was contacted by email after I inquired about a boat on Boat Trader. I was informed that the boat was being sold through a broker Union Auto Garage and I had to register as a buyer. I agreed to purchase a boat which was to be delivered. The money was supposed to be held in escrow until the boat was delivered and I was satisfied with the condition. When the boat didn’t arrive as scheduled I was sent an email saying there had been a minor accident and the boat would arrive the next day. It never came and I got an email saying that it was damaged and I would be getting a refund. I have been to bank and they are requesting the funds back. I also filed a complaint with the FBI.

Found a boat on Boattrader.com that was a good deal. Inquired about the boat and a [email protected] replied back stating that he was selling the boat thru a consignment called unionautogarage.com. Could never talk to him or anyone directly, only thru chat and email. Appears the whole organization is bogus.

2009 Mastercraft for sale on Boat Trader for $29800 which is about 60% value. I contacted buyer through site which was email he said the boat is in storage and PAC is the third-party company selling the boat. He gives you links to go to, and you build a profile. Then send offer. The original seller then sends you a email of expect and a bill of sale with Vin numbers for boat and trailer. Everything looks for real then you only have 48 hours to send a wire transfer and when I asked my bank for a loan, they asked for proof of title or a copy to be sent to email.

I called there support number and they told me just send the money and we sent the title. I told them no would need proof of title and the guy start to tell me that not how it works, and I singed a form on their web site of that said I understood and have to move forward and even said he would contact a attorney. I have purchased a few things outside of my state and this not true please hurry and stop this someone will fall for it. I am normally very careful and pay attention to details these guys are really good.
