It gave me the above number to call. I did. I recognized the voice on the other end from other cold calls. I described wat happened and he opened some windows to show me where various programs had stopped running. Amount them was Mc caffe protection software. He then advised me that due to the software virus that exhibited an vulgar sexual scene all Microsoft products had shut down and that I would have to renew my Microsoft liscences in order to set everything up and running correctly. We atgued that I bought the rights when I purchased the computer and that there was no renewal needed. I told him I was calling Dell and MCcaffe and if they told me there was a problem I would call him back.
I told him to get off me computer( I had earlier given him access) and I would call him back.
I unplugged my computer for a few minutes and when I started back up there were no problems observed. Obviously this company planted the virus (?) on my computer to get this whole thing going.
