Received call from (279)214-0472 at 7 am. Person on the phone threatened me with coming to my home with the sheriff, gave out my social security number over the phone multiple times and threatened to call ICE on me if I didn’t make the payment.

I received a call from (279)214-0472 explaining they had an affidavit for me to sign and had my full name, phone number, last four digits of my social security number, and my most recent address. They gave my the number of (877)767-4462 to call back to schedule a time for them to come to get my signature. I believe the same day they came to my home asking for my signature! This is before I listened to their voicemail so I was like what the heck is this for? But the women would not explain any further than asking if I was “my name”. I finally just said no and she doesn’t love here. And she left. I looked up the return number and its a dead company obviously a scam cover up but for what? And if I signed what would have happened? I’m still researching that. I came to this website because of anothwr story like mine but a different call number but same callback number and threats. But in their report they hadn’t had a person arrive at their home. That was the most unnerving part to have a stranger try to have me sign something without explaining what it was. Perhaps if I had agreed I was the person they were looking for, I might’ve gotten more info but that might’ve opened a bigger can of worms than it’d be worth. Be aware if you received a voicemail with this callback number.
