I had a problem with my computer, it was running slow and I thought it had a virus. I tried to contact Microsoft for tech support, but they're phone number wasn't listed and I wasn't getting any place with their automated chat. So, I looked for the phone number to Microsoft and I found what looked like a Microsoft web page with their number on it. I called the number and was told it was Microsoft tech support. They took remote control of my computer, and they seemed to have fixed the problem. Then they asked me if I wanted to pay for that day's service, or sign up for a year, or sign up for a lifetime coverage of tech support. I signed up for lifetime coverage for $999.00. They also told me there were two levels of support I could pay for, I took the highest level of support for $499.98. They then rushed me to send them a check for $1499.98 immediately by Priority Mail, and give them the tracking number. I ran over to the post office, and while I was on line to mail the check they called me and told me to hurry up. They called me for the tracking number as I was just walking in the door. The tracking umber was; 9505 5129 8627 4066 5365 71. After I got settled in from my run, I looked up the address they gave me. It was Vista Digital Systems, 3220 W Monte Vista Ave., Suite 305, Turlock, CA 95380. That address was to a UPS Store! I started looking online for whatever information I could get. I came across this web page; scammer.info/t/vista-digital-systems-turlock-ca-is-a-scam-call-center/147823. That web page had a warning saying Vista Digital Systems was a scam and saying not to send them a check. They also had another address for the company at 4015 Medeiros Road, Turlock CA 95380. When I looked up that address it turned out to be a privet house. So I had paid $1,499.98 for lifetime, full service tech support from a company that didn't exist! I thought of putting a stop on the check, but I realized that the scammers would still have my account number and routing number. So, I went to the bank, closed out that checking account, and opened a new checking account so they wouldn't the account number to it. They were not able to take the $1,499.98 out of my account.
