I received the following email on 3/25/24: Hello {my name}, I'm pleased to inform you that Vista Outdoor Inc received your application on LinkedIn specifically for the Art Director position. We have placed you among the shortlisted candidates. To ensure your compatibility with our company culture and the position, please respond with "YES" if you're still interested and confirm the receipt of this email. Best regards, Kathlyn Vaughn Human Resources Manager Vista Outdoor Inc.

I replied with "YES". Then, I received a follow up email with the job description attached along with screening questions to answer. I responded to the email with answers to the screening questions. The next day, I was "offered a job" with Vista Outdoor. They wanted me to respond with my full name and details, and indicated I could be paid "via wire transfer, direct deposit or check." At this point I realized it was a scam.
