I was also contacted by Voith group for an “interview”. We had that same conversation except they said they’d send me an Apple laptop with fast internet and $250 for the startup bonus. They sent me a check for the software + the start up bonus. I’m so glad I didn’t deposit the check now that I’ve actually done my research on them!

The same exact thing was just about to happen to me. As I type this, this so called company is trying to get me to answer my messages stating that they are ready to send me the check for so called office equipment. I’m sorry this has happened to people and most likely will continue to happen if these scammers aren’t stopped.

Scammer went through the entire interview process but never asked for a background check or any of the other usual stuff. Wanted to start online training the nest day for the online only job position. Scammer was good at using Google Hangouts to perform the interview and 1st red flag was using Google Hangouts for the training sessions. Nothing secured or private, just texting back and forth. Scammer did not as for social security number, but did start the "send a paper check for me to deposit, keep a portion for the training session and send the rest to their vendor for office equipment", We know that after a while the check would bounce and I'd be out the money or worse,(go to jail). That's when I stopped the conversation and came here to report it. Below is a copy of the Google Hangout conversation, and the original email with headers.
