Hello, I'm Rod Smith, Co-President at Volano Software. We are victims of this scam as well, not the scammers. We do not use Signal to conduct interviews. We have posted a banner on our website to help people know scammers are using our good name. So frustrating and time consuming.
Scam is NOT initiated by Volano Software, we are victims too

I was initially sent a text message by Paul Brown from the phone number +301-615-3229 asking me to download Signal Private Messenger app. Then provided a number to contact Michelle Conelly via the app. The company is Volano Software for a remote Work from Home position paying $35/hour. I have attached docs of the conversation and removed any Personal info.
