Vom Landgraf Haus was a website (one of the top ones actually) that first populated when I google searched "doberman puppies for sale". I clicked on their site. About 5 puppies listed for sale. All were $800 each. If you wanted their ears cropped it was an additional $200. I clicked on one of them and inquired about "Zena". They replied back to me very quickly,. A long email with lots of information. I asked if they would meet me half way, because Minnesota was 7 hours away. They were very quick to say yes. They wanted 1/2 the money upfront; I decided I wanted her ears cropped and he would handle taking her to the vet for me, my deposit would be $500 (1/2 for the puppy and 1/2 for the ears). He sent me this contract that I will attach and even had an attorney (probably fake) sign off on it). The first contract he sent over to me, had an error, he had 2020, I sent it back (thinking was just a typo) and not paying much attention to it. I should have though. I read their testimonials on their site - all very positive except for ONE. BUT Vom Landgraf Haus responded to the one negative comment on there and was very apologetic (all bullsh**). He then sends me the updated contract with the correct year - 2021. He had asked me for my name, address, email, phone number to be included in the contract which I am attaching. A few more texts and says I should pay now so that he can go get the dog's ears cropped and I can have the dog in a week. He sends me a text saying the money would be sent to his wife and sends me a different # (again I went off the positive glowing testimonials on his site). If these testimonials weren't on the site - I would have been VERY leary. So I send $500 via Zelle and was ghosted after - never heard from him again.
