Received a call from this person posing himself as vonage sales and he offered a yearly promotion of $9.99. He did state some ID and said he was based in NJ (which was what had convinced me in the first case). I did give me credit card info (which I subsequently canceled) to sign up for the promotion. The confirmation email they sent me was dated Nov 2017 (the event had happened in May 5) and included a non working toll free number which lead to my suspicion.
