Me too ... same conditions and spiel. Very "choppy" line, perhaps to add "authenticity"?

On 4/15/20 I received a call who left the following message, “You $399 and within 24 hours you will be see a charge from VTEC Solution. If you want to cancel the subscription and want to refund then please call on this number (203) 802-5632 cancellation should be done within the 48 hours upon receiving this confirmation call. Thank you and this is David Jones customer relationship manager. (The voice on the message sounded like a robot)
On 4/16/20 I call the number and they said I had the security software already loaded on my computer and that to cancel and get the $399 refunded, I would have to turn on my computer and remove the software from my computer. Since I have no recollection of ever loading this software on my computer, I did not follow their directions. I did check all my bank accounts and credit cards and I have not been charged the $399, but the 48 hours has not yet expired either.
This is a concerning scam because it involves both a threat to charge me $399 and also that they wanted to access my computer, or at least have me follow their direction on my computer.

I received an unsolicited call from VTec saying that unless they hear from me within 48 hours they would be charging me $399 for renewal. I do not have Vtec service now, so there is nothing to renew. I Googled them and it is listed as a scam. The number given to contact them is 203-689-7754.
Desired Outcome
Put them out of business, if indeed there really is a business.
