At the end of April, I was eligible for employment with vxi global. First week of May I went through the employment process of giving them my I-9 information, proof of employment validation, filled everything out for a background check. With a woman named Renee who seems to have no connection with the company,. During the meeting I received a start date of June 22nd. Throughout May I've had to pawn my jewelry, and made the purchase of a work desk and another laptop to be able to do this job. Took just about every dollar I got. A few weeks went by and I started getting emails for other positions within the same company and thought it was weird. The company don't have a number to call, so I've had to email three or four different employees to figure out why I was getting other position requests and concern that I didn't have the position anymore. I was told by a vxi employee, Julia, through email, that a third party company decides who gets employed and supposedly no longer had the position. I asked what caused me to lose this position and received no response. The third party was a company named Accurate. They do the background checks for vxi. I've emailed numerous people from vxi, I filled out the contact form on vxi's website and still have yet to be contacted this is going on about 4 weeks now, the one number I did seem to find the mailbox is always full, I did some research to see who the CEO was charlie liu-have even messaged him through Messenger on Facebook and got no response. I have received emails and phone calls back from accurate no problem whatsoever. They made it clear that all they do is the background checks and forward that to the company and the company decides unemployment from there which is common sense and I figured that's how it went but that's not what vxi is saying. And now they're saying nothing. I was told I had this position and sat on my butt turning down plenty of other job offers, pawning my property to afford to get by while this job was awaiting me,. And it took the company a month (per julia) to tell me that I was denied the position after giving me a start date and an acceptance letter, and blames the third party company for my background check being denied, meanwhile vxi is who decides that after numerous conversations with Accurate

Received a text message on Saturday from somebody claiming to be from VXI Global Solutions, LLC about a Data Entry/Admin Assistant job paying $25 an hour, and asking if I was still interested in the position. I didn't recognize the company name, but I had applied for similar jobs in the past, so I didn't think much of it. I replied "yes" and asked for further details, but the individual immediately directed me to speak with the hiring manager via an App called Telegram. I didn't know what the app was and thought it to be similar to Skype or some other video messaging app. Again, seemed unusual, but nothing jumped out at me yet. We spoke for a few minutes, answering what seemed to be standard interview questions, and then was told to wait until Monday for the final hiring decision. I was contacted again Monday, was told they accepted me, and that they would be overnighting me a check for the supplies I'll need to perform the job, including a Mac Book and assorted hardware and software that will be purchased through a supplier they designated. I was to deposit the check in my account, and send them a receipt of deposit with my info blacked out, for "records". I replied that I understood the instructions, but now I started to suspect something, particularly when said individual was persistent in finding out if I deposited the check the following day. The check arrived on Tuesday, after work, but when I saw that the check was for nearly $5,000 and was from a random bakery in Chicago, sent via FedEx from an address and business in Texas, I held onto the check and contacted both my bank and the bank listed on the check the following morning. After speaking with both, we deduced that the check was likely fraudulent and I was advised to disregard it and report my experiences. After reading through some of the scams listed on this site, I found that other individuals had almost identical experiences to mine. Thankfully, I never deposited the check or gave out
