the letter requests "proof" or ownership/copies of key information if there was an address change, name change, deceased or deployment overseas. They try to look legit by saying do Not send your Social Security card BUT they want license, copy of tax return, utility bill for proof of address, Marriage or Divorce papers, etc.
they provide a Check # waiting the last activity date and the amount.
It seems obvious to me this is a scam -
