We have a Nextdoor Neighbors site for Rainbow Springs area. An ad was posted on that site. I thought I’d go along and check out how it worked, being totally aware it could be a scam. I was told to deposit a check for $2935, they were express mailing or fedex. Once I received the check deposit it immediately, so the funds would be available within 24 hours. I would then receive an assignment. I did deposit the check, but, I informed them that just because the funds are available, does t mean the check is good. The check was drawn on AMERICA FIRST CU, the logo on the check was from FAKTORY INC., an advertising agency. It never made sense as FAKTORY INC., had never been mentioned from the beginning. Both check and financial institution was from Utah. Likely story! I contacted both, and verified it was fraudulent. I then went on our Neighbors site, and reported my findings, telling people to stay away. I did receive several responses from neighbors site, that the same thing was attempted with them. Now I’m spreading the info, as I’m sure, they won’t stop with us...
