“Hello,
At Eventbrite, we ticket millions of events each year and strive to ensure our community has a safe and positive experience each time they use the Eventbrite platform.
We are reaching out to you as our Trust and Safety team has identified an unauthorized seller offering fraudulent Gorillaz tickets for sale. We believe that you have been impacted by this incident, and wish to advise that if you have recently received tickets and made payment outside of Eventbrite, these are not official tickets to this event.
We encourage you to contact your banking institution as soon as possible to report this incident. We also wish to remind you that the only safe way to purchase Eventbrite tickets is through the Eventbrite platform. Eventbrite can never guarantee the validity of ticket purchases made away from the Eventbrite platform.
If you have questions or would like further information, please reply directly to this message.
We've already taken steps in accordance with our Terms of Service to help ensure this doesn't occur again in the future. We're very sorry for this inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Eventbrite Customer Support”
As soon as I received the email, I called my bank, Wells Fargo, at 4:21AM and filed a report on this incident, stating as much information as I can. I also have multiple screenshots and proof to support my case on this incident.
