I received documents through my work e-mail, the documents were a garnishee disclosure, with my previous name that was removed by divorce in 1994. The garnishee was listed as my employer, but with an address in another state. They had my current address. Nothing else was listed, checked or signed on the disclosure form. The amount to be with-held was not filled in. After contacting my local human resources and being referred to the main office human resources, it has not been a successful job. After asking for the copy of the garnishment disclosure that they used to garnish my current paycheck, it has been nothing but e-mails that cannot be verified, possible phising involved or codes that need to be entered, that do not open the emails. The lawyer office that is listed as the plaintiff, never returns my calls. I spoke with a man there once, who said he worked for Robert w. Warner, said they will notify me by mail and did with a note that I opened up an account in 1993 and paid the payment till the year 2000 they say. I have told them that I did not open up any account during that time nor made payments to anyone under the bank name they stated, In addition, I am unable to locate this bank he spoke about. My current paycheck has a garnishment note of 214.40, I am flabbergasted how this can be done, and since no one is available at this office, I am not sure how to stop it. I do not feel that the woman I spoke to at human resources, is really working for my company, but no-one seems to know with so many remote workers, she even called from a phone needing change deposited, I heard it in the background.
