On november 21, 2014 I purchased a warranty with a new laptop off of Amazon, from Warrantech for the price of $320.99 for four years. On January 3, 2015 my laptop had a power surge of some kind and burnt up. Smoke came out of the power supply area of the case and it no longer turned on. Instead of honoring their warranty, they issued a refund of the warranty through amazon.

This situation is the equivalent of them playing blackjack and taking your money back every time you go over 21.
