After placing my order on the 13th a message popped up to say that the actual delivery date would likely be much further out than their website stated, due to COVID-19, but that my card wouldn't be charged until my ornaments were made (they claimed they make the ornaments AFTER orders are placed), at which point my order would officially be "processed" before shipping them out to me.
I received non-stop emails on my order's “status” to the point of being weird. In some of their emails they mentioned the "perfect quilt" I ordered (which I didn't), and then blamed "customs" for the extra delay in shipping. When I emailed back to say that I ordered ornaments (not a quilt) and didn't understand how "customs" would impact my order since they claimed to be shipping my order FROM a U.S. location TO a U.S. location, they responded with a bunch of apologies and plead for patience and understanding. I then noticed that the person who emailed me back seemed to be representing a different company (maybe a separate scam site?) but emailed me from the "[email protected]" email address on the Washingoal website:

Upon further inspection I noticed that there was no specific order number mentioned in the emails, and they never provided the tracking number that my order confirmation told me I'd receive a few days after my order was placed. I then Googled the company, and found countless sites, reviews, and articles confirming my fear - that this site is a scam. I emailed them back to ask them to cancel my order, and they're refusing to do so because I didn't do it within 12 hours, like their policy requires. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company, but wanted to report them somehow to hopefully prevent them from continuing to rip people off.
