Because I was noncommittal due to my suspicions (e.g. why could they not test the water coming out of the outdoor faucet, or why can I not give you a water bottle?), she left a flyer that I could call to set up my appointment. Note "Barbie" was driving a Maroon Volkswagen Sedan without a license plate on it and did not appear to be going to any of my other neighbors' houses. I was unable to find any legit records of this company - only news articles that talk about this type of water scam where the individuals steal your personal information as part of the "questionnaire" they conduct. (The flyer she left mentions: "Both spouses/partners (if applicable) must be present and participate in the testing and filling out the questionnaire for the technician to begin.")
2 months later, I received a follow up call from a lady mentioning the visit from "Barbie" pushing to again schedule an appointment and offering a $20 Amazon gift card. When I asked how they make money (I noticed they are listed as a "For Profit" organization), she dodged the questions. I asked if they had a website, and she claimed it was peachstatewaterandair.com although that website does not exist and again there is nothing I can find on this company anywhere except for a Bizapedia profile - https://www.bizapedia.com/ga/peach-state-water-and-air-inc.html. When I started to press her on the fact that they were running a scam, she claimed they weren't and hung up the phone.
On the flyer they left after "Barbie's" initial visit, it mentions you will get a call from 470-805-0035. However, the phone call I received was actually from a (813) 768-5218 phone number.
