Type of a scam Online Purchase
I got scammed! I found this person on Instagram selling French Bulldogs and I reached out to him. At first I was hesitant due to the price and completing a purchase online. Unfortunately, I trusted him and payed $560 via PayPal. Once that was completed for a week he continued to tell me the money was not in his account. I reached out to PayPal and had them confirm he did receive the money account: [email protected]. After he finally agreed he received the money he stated he would ship the pup the next day. Then he would say their were no flights from Boise Airport to Burbank Airport or LAX on Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. During this time he would make supposedly trips to drop him off but always no flights available was his excuse. Finally he sent me pictures stating that the pup was ready to ship but shipping expenses were $365 and he didn’t have that much cash. Then he requested I sent him money via WU or Cash App. That is when I sent him and additional $275 via Cash App to account: $nyla92 (Ashley Walker) he refused to send him due to being short $100 and Cash App wouldn’t let me send him the rest due to high risk. Finally he said he shipped him on Wednesday November 20 and the pup was expected to arrive November 21 at 1:35pm to Burbank airport. Surprise it didn’t happen now the carrier needed more money plus pictures of me with a white background to create a city license. That is when I started doing research and noticed Krysta Express doesn’t seem like a legit company. When I was at Burbank airport trying to pick up the dog at 1:35pm the people working their had no idea what this company was.
I got home and confronted the seller and he kept assuring me it was real and he only needed the additional money to pay for the license. When I refused due to no proof of request from carrier company or proof that the company was real in general he threatened me that he was going to get the pup back and I would lose all my money due to shipping fees. I decided to file claims with my bank and hope to get this money back. Also that I would put a stop to this scam and notify everyone about this scam.
