Deux semaines plus tard, par e-mail, on m’avisais qu’ils avaient essayé de livrer les chaises mais qu’il
N’y avait personne pour la réception. Donc on me demande de payer $1.00 de frais par carte de crédit pour qu’ils puissent venir livrer à nouveau. Lorsqu’on m’a demandé ma date de naissance, j’ai réalisé que c’était une fraude.

I ordered 2 chairs that I thought were through Wayfair on Wayday. I saw the ad on Facebook.
I never got them. It says it was through Asiabilldirect. I noticed after a few days this didn't seem like Wayfair. The amount is for $68.40.

My mother was very excited when using facebooks marketplace and finding an ad for WayDay and a flash sale on furniture for ridiculously cheap. I was suspicious because I know Wayfairs Way Day is once a year and in October. This site was called vovoii.com and looking more closely it was an obvious scam. My mother (who is 66) was very disappointed, is trying to get her $300 refunded, but mostly embarrassed and feeling stupid. She just couldn't understand why Facebook would sell ad space to imposter and scam sites.

I tried to reassure her she was not stupid - that's what these people do, trick people, lots of people all the time. It's very VERY prevalent on Facebook.
