DANIEL SOTO OF FOND DU LAC, WI, (FRAUDULENTLY REPRESENTING WE ENERGIES) CALLED MY CELL PHONE (AND USED MY NAME) AND NOTIFIED ME THAT MY ELECTRICITY WAS GOING TO BE TURNED OFF TODAY. I COULD EITHER WAIT FOR THE TECHNICIAN TO SHOW UP AT MY HOME AND HAVE THE TECHNICIAN VERIFY THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS UP TO DATE OR CALL THIS OTHER PHONE NUMBER TO CLEAR UP THE PROBLEM. THE PHONE NUMBER I WAS TO CALL IS 1-800-966-8721. INSTEAD OF CALLING THIS NUMBER, I DIRECTLY CALLED WE ENERGIES AND VERIFIED THAT THIS WAS A SCAM AND THEY WERE VERY GLAD THAT I DID NOT GIVE OUT ANY ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. IN ALL PROBABILITY, HAD I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER, I WOULD HAVE BEEN ASKED FOR THE ACCOUNT NUMBER, ETC.

My business got a call today from the 800 number. Told me I need to pay WE energies for two back months of payments or I would be disconnected today. I asked them what i should do to see what they would say. They told me to call WE at 1-800-381-9964 and ask for Josh Parker. I tried calling i and they actually made it sound pretty lagit. It was kind of scary. Someone answered and said he was Josh Parker. I hung up!
