In August of 2023, there were many social media ads I was seeing regarding having an Amazon automation store with Wealth Assistants. I researched them, and they seemed legitimate with over 100 employees all with LinkedIn profiles and a whole business set up. They even went on a company retreat. I had a meeting with intro person Augie. Then another meeting with Don Palmer the business portfolio manager. He fought cancer, had a spinal doctor medicine business before cancer. I looked this up online and this all existed. His business had reviews before too with same picture so everything was legitimate. Then why decided to sign a contract with Wealth Assistants in middle of August, another appealing thing was that the contract included a buyback option, that after 12 months they would refund the money if the store did not succeed. Threads online also said this was a legit contract written well by another lawyer. So I moved forward, decided to wire them $55k to a Wells Fargo account they provided. Then I went to onboarding, I met with a few different onboarding gals who all had LinkedIn accounts when I searched for them. I got my business license set up and Amazon Store setup. Everything was approved then on boarding was complete second week of September. Then I was assigned a Produce Success Manager Dustin Preston. He had a LinkedIn account too and seemed legitimate. I was communicating with him. They sent me a 5k invoice which I didn’t pay the first one because my contract included a 5k credit. Dustin told me all the logistics and management of inventory was happening on the back end with my account manager and I didn’t have to worry about anything. I would have biweekly check ins with him. Then a few weeks later I received another invoice. I emailed Dustin about this invoice and about our biweekly follow up m, emailed 3 times no response. So I emailed Don Palmer to see what was going on and he replied saying he would look into it. This was the week of Oct 2. Then Monday Oct 9 followed up again and all the emails bounced back. Couldn’t reach anyone’s email from wealth assistants. Apparently the entire staff was fired. So this company made me wire $55k was all just fraud. There are over 500 stores wealth assistants has. And there is an entire group of us who are in the same situation all filing about this fraud situation. Our money has vanished with no communication.
