They offered to help me with my goals by giving 1:1 coaching, personal programs, and 24/7 access. I was offered a seven day trial for $0.50. I accepted it.
Then I was offered a discount to skip the trial and pay $29.50 more to start a subscription. I declined and said I only wanted to try the seven day trial for $0.50.
I continued to sign up and came to the step where they asked me to download their app. When I saw it only had 1.3 stars I started reading reviews. They all said this was a scam.
I immediately tried to go cancel and found that they had charged me $29.50 for the subscription I had declined.
I tried to find a way to cancel and get my money refunded. I successfully canceled, but was then directed to email Able at [email protected]
Someone did reply to me. I only got a first name, Rami. They argued that I had agreed to subscribe and wouldn't refund my money. I continued to try to explain that I hadn't subscribed and didn't use the app. They still refused a refund. I saw similar complaints by those who also said they had been scammed. You can see their reviews when you go to "Able" for weight loss in the Google Play Store.
I finally told them I was thinking about reporting them. All my communication was through email.
First, I decided to call my credit card company and cancel my card. They told me I'll have to dispute the charge after it's no longer pending. Then hopefully I'll get my money back.
I then searched for how to "report a scam" on the internet. I was taken to the website reportfraud.ftc.gov and reported the scam there.
I thought I was done, but I was still thinking about how I had warned them that I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. I decided to look up your website and follow instructions to file this complaint. I hope I'm getting this all done right.
I really hope Able is stopped from scamming anyone else.
