I received a call that appeared to be from Wells Fargo. I was suspicious about the call but they had me verify the phone number that appeared on my called ID and when I did call back the number later on it did send me to Wells Fargo. Unfortunately, they were not from Wells Fargo. They advised me that someone was trying to send money from my account and in order to stop this from happening I needed to Zelle money and then they would replace the money within an hour or so. They asked me to make two separate transactions; one for $1000 and another for $1001. Fortunately, the bank that the money was being transferred from stopped the second transaction until I could notify them that it was a fraud. I still have the phone numbers that the money was sent to and I was hoping I could give this information to someone who could look into this and hopefully make an arrest.

I received an automated phone call from 1-800-930-3605 claiming to be Wells Fargo bank requesting me to call the number back due to possible fraud purchase of $120.00 and when I did it put me on hold then asked me to leave my name and number to call me back. I didn’t leave a message. Checked my accounts to verify and also called Wells Fargo in which there are no purchases for $120.00. Wells Fargo representative informed me to report it to this email.
