Unprofessional Doctor - refusing refund
Hello Brandy,
I protest.
Dr Suburariam was EXTREMELY unprofessional. The fact that there were CHILDREN PLAYING & LAUGHING/SQUEALING in the background is ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE! Am I to understand correctly that these behaviors are considered acceptable protocol of the WellVia policies and procedures?!
I was running fevers of 101-102, massive headache, diarrhea, and clogged ears (which did not aid in the inability to have a professional conversation with a doctor over the phone).
Moreover, this is the same inconsiderate doctor that your QAD refunded once before. And for the same unprofessional conduct!
So how is it that they refund the first time, but refuse to acknowledge the second occurrence. Both times for similar reasons. I beg to ask, where is the quality control?
If I had realized he was the same doctor as before I would have cancelled right away.
Under much duress from my illness, and being extremely frustrated with communication failures, and after REPEATEDLY telling him I was not able to hear him due to the extremely disruptive background noise,
I disconnected with Dr “Suburbiam” and proceeded to create a new appointment…. specifically requesting a DIFFERENT physician.
I was immediately rescheduled with another physician who provided exceptional doctor/patient protocol. Albeit he didn’t prescribe anything but rather suggested OTC meds. I took his advice and my husband went to the local Walgreens to secure the items he suggested.
I do not accept your findings.
I should not be frauded out of $35 for Dr “Sub” when within a matter of minutes & without hesitation, I paid an additional $35.
Therefore, I challenge the determination and again request a full refund.
Please forward this email to your “Quality Assurance Department” and whomever it is who led the “investigation”.
If you are not authorized to proceed, please forward to me the name and contact information for your immediate supervisor.
I trust this matter will be resolved in an amicable way. I thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your immediate response.

Good afternoon,
We received your refund request and our Quality Assurance department has been investigating your complaint. After a thorough investigation we feel that the physician followed telemedicine guidelines as well as WellVia policies and procedures for your consultation and was thorough in his assessment and treatment. Due to this your refund has been denied.
We thank you for choosing WellVia and hope to better serve you in the future.

Type of a scam Employment
Thursday's training all appeared very normal as they exercises were related to the accounting tasks that were said to be part of the position. Part of what was discussed on Thursday was that I was to receive start up funds, totally $9,600.98, to purchase necessary equipment to work from home. Initially, the check was to be issued and sent by FedEx - and while it all seemed above board at this point the first "red flag" was the pace of the proceedings. Things seemed to be happening very quickly. By end of day Thursday, tasks were completed and training would resume on Friday, December 6th. It was at time that I was asked to purchase gift cards in an effort to activate needed software for the job. I refused the purchase of the gift cards at that time. While this did seem odd I did not pay much mind to that request as I could not purchase the gift cards and assumed that the start up check would cover the set up fees.
By mid-morning Friday December 6, two training assignments had been completed and by 10:30 am PST, I was told that the company, WellVia Solutions, had authorized the release of half of the startup funds by electronic check" (e-check). This check was "delivered" in the Wire app. I was asked to print, sign, and electronically deposit the check using my banking app. The first e-check they delivered was in the form of a cashiers check from US Bank. When attempting to deposit this first check my bank app produced an error message sayin that the "check had been deposited previously". When I reported that to the trainer, she stated that a new check would be issued. The second check was also provided in the Wire app but came from a different bank, 1st International Bank & Trust. This first payment was issue for $4,980.00. This check appeared to clear my bank, funds were made available, and my balance showed as having increase by that amount. Shortly after receiving the second check, the trainer again asked me to purchase gift cards. First, the request was to purchase Steam Wallet gift cards - cards normally used for purchasing internet games. When I could not locate a store that sold these, I was advised to purchase Apple Store gift cards and when I mentioned that I would not be going to the Apple Store that evening to purchase gift cards, the request was then made to use Google Play gift cards. It was at this point that I signed out of the training session and began some significant research in to the company.
After much research I discovered that Wellvia Solutions, Inc. is not registered as a corporation in the State of Texas. Further research did uncover the fact that a company with a similar name, Wellvia, Inc. is registered in the State of Georgia. However, the information collected from Georgia reveled that the CEO, CFO, and other ranking members did not match the list of people found on the WellVia Solutions, Inc.’s website. In addition, I researched the bank and the affiliate company where the startup funds were issued from. Both the bank and the affiliate appeared to be legitimate and registered based in Arizona.
At this point I wrote list of concerns to the trainer at WellVia Solutions. In each a case, she answered each question with something that seemed very logical. My questions included my concerns over the issuance of two e-checks, the use of gift cards to purchase software, the use of cash processing applications (venmo, cash app, zelle, etc.) to purchase other pieces of software, the lack of information on some of the affiliates and employees in their website or social media profiles, etc., the lack of standard documentations for onboarding employee processes, and that the entire process was done in the Wire communications application, and that I had only spoken to one person over the phone. Her answer about the e-check process was related to expediency, the purchase of gift cards was to take advantage of software discounts, and the cash processing applications was needed again for expediting processes to get me set up and working quickly.
After completing another training task, I relented and went to purchase Apple Store gift cards, believing that the answers provided were true. I was then asked to scan these gift cards in to the Wire app and did as requested. Shortly thereafter, I was asked to return to the Apple Store to purchase more gift cards, which I refused to do. At this point I pointed asked for Texas State Registration information, a confirmation of Texas Sate Tax ID number and received back and EIN number listed with the IRS for Wellvia, Inc. in Georgia State yet the addresses did not match the information found in the Georgia State business registry.
I had to step out to take care of personal business that Saturday afternoon and when I returned, I returned the following response to the trainer, the person who interviewed me and the human resources representative.
“After extensive research and serious consideration I am rescinding my acceptance of the employment offer issued by WellVia Solutions, Inc. and signed by me on December 4th, 2019.
This decision is based on my significant concerns with the hiring and on-boarding process I shared with my trainer, Merissa Flores. It is my understanding that Ms. Flores shared these same concerns with the WellVia Solutions, Inc. Human Resources department. If you require a full list of these concerns I will provide those to you.
I will not be accepting the second half of the stipend to complete the set up process and will return the balance of $3,200 from the original stipend only after confirming that original check has, in fact, cleared the account at Sunset Capitol, LLC (check #4394, original amount $4,900.00).
I will not purchase further Apple Store gift cards to facilitate any further software set up processes. Please note: $1,700 used from the original stipend was used, as directed, to purchase Apple Store gift cards for the purchase of work-related software and no funds were used for any personal use. Evidence of the gift card purchase can be found in the Wire conversation between Ms. Flores and myself and receipts can be provided.
Please provide the full name of the appropriate finance person and the full physical mailing address for the return of the balance stated above. If, in fact, the check issued by Sunset Capitol, LLC did not clear their account and/ or my account is made vulnerable or impacted negatively in any way, I will pursue action against Wellvia Solutions, Ind. (aka Wellvia, Inc.) and its affiliates.”
This message was met with resistance and the only information provided to return funds was a google mail address for someone who I had not spoken to before, and instructions to return funds using a payment processing application (Cash App or Zelle). At which point I refused to make payment in this way. I have not yet been provided with contact information or a physical mailing address for this organization.
On Monday December 9th, 2019, I contacted my bank and requested their help with confirming the e-check issuers information and verify that funds have cleared the issuers bank. I also requested that my account be frozen in the event that Wellvia Solutions, Inc. attempt to access my account to retrieve funds. On Tuesday December 10th, 2019 my bank confirmed that the issuing bank and account the check was drawn from were both legitimate businesses but that they were aware of fraudulent activity on their accounts and that the e-check I received was fraudulent and would not clear their account.
In the days following the email sent rescinding my acceptance of the office administrator position, I have been harassed by the trainer and one of the other member to return start up funds immediately or face legal action from Wellvia Solutions, Inc. I receive messages in the Wire app and phone calls from at least one person facilitating this scam.
Marissa Flores, acted as my trainer and fully and knowingly participated in pressuring me to purchase gift cards and utilized payment processing apps for the purchase of software, hardware and repayment of start up funds. She is also responsible for providing the bogus e-check (attached to this complaint). Ryan Atlas has been identified as the Talent Acquisition Manager at Wellvia Solutions and has communicated with me by phone from 1-650-309-5539. Emails received came from Stephanie O’Toole at [email protected]
My biggest concerns, besides the fact that I fell or this relatively sophisticated job scam, is that others may as well. I have reported their job listings on all of the employment websites (LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed). The other major concerns is the fact that they are advertising as a telemedicine company I am deeply concerned that poor or elderly patients are falling for a related scam regarding telemedicine services - a much bigger concern that my loss of $1,700.
I wish I would have researched and read your information 2 days ago. Exact same thing happened to me except that I had red flags flying for the past 2 days. When they asked me to get an apple card - I stated that this was unconventional. They even had the nerve to ask me my bank login! They then told me their IT group could take bank app and I could get remainder monies on walmart visa cards. I already knew what was happening - so I called my bank. Currently waiting to see if their check will bounce. I don't know if these people are mimicking the identities of people at Wellvia. Both individuals I have communicated with are showing up on the Wellvia Linkedin page. I've filed a police report and will be setting up new cking account. I will report this to the same employment websites. Stephanie O'Toole and Paul Lightle. Hopefully with these types of posts we can get these guys shut down a bit.
