Put an item on Craigslist and this "person" said they will take it, added $50 to the price, and wanted to send a cashiers check but needed all my personal data. Bogus! Do not ever accept a cashiers check to be sent to you in advance of getting an item.

I received the exact same message. It seemed dodgy but since I didn't have any other buyers, I stuck with it in case it was real. Then today, I received what seems like a real check, valued at $2500, from a business in Birmingham, AL, for an item that was listed at $450. I was told that the overage was to pay the person who was going to deliver the item, as well as a few others from nearby, to "Wendi". After I told the first person that I was no longer interested in participating, I got a text from "Thomas", her husband, from the 305 area code, which is Miami. I've let "him" know that I am aware that this is a scam and that they should cease any further communication.

I also got the same exact email from her. She’s definitely gonna get a piece of my mind. I’m gonna email her back and play along with her scam just to mess with her head. People are so ridiculously pathetic. Get a life or better yet get a job and tip scamming people for a living.

I got the exact same email from Wendi Partida after posting an item on Craigslist. I initially received an email asking about the condition & once I replied I received an email from Wendi the next day from a different email address. I also got a text wanting to send me a verification code which I did not do.

I received this email via an item I listed for sale on Craigslist. Upon a quick google search to see if this was legitimate, I found others had also posted this is false and will result in a fake money order. Beware!
