A Google search for West Highland Terrier puppy sources included this website for a puppy supposedly located in Charleston, SC. I emailed the admin account at the web site domain to get more information and quickly received a response asking where I was located (temporarily across the state) and for my phone number (which I then provided). Texting followed, in which I was told the dog would be $750. I asked about picking up the dog and was then told they could deliver him for another $150. For payment, they said they would accept Zelle. I contacted my bank to set up such a transfer and they flagged it as a possible scam. The seller suggested a pre-paid credit card instead, bought from a store such as CVS. When I again asked about picking up the dog myself and they insisted on delivery after payment, my suspicions rose and I found their website listed at petscams.com. I told the seller that I was no longer interested after learning they were scamners. Their response was, "I learned you are a lie too".
