Richard Giles was the contact person for a car listing on autotrader.com. It was a decent deal and a popular car so a deposit was required to hold it until I could fly down to NC to pick it up. I provided a $250 deposit and he agreed to hold the vehicle. Two days later I provided an eta for my flight and he responds that the vehicle was sold to a local buyer. I said okay, please send my deposit back since you didn’t hold the vehicle for me like we agreed. He stated the deposit was non-refundable and refused to send the money back. After multiple excuses and sob story from him, he tried to get me to buy another vehicle from him. I still have not received the money back from him and don’t expect to. I just want to warn any other consumers about how sketchy the west lake holdings llc company is and especially Richard Giles.
