I was looking for a loan online. I received an email and a phone call from Tammy Elmore from West Lansing Financial stating that I was approved for the loan I requested. She went over the terms and conditions and lending options. She stated that I had to place a monetary advanced collateral of $460 and once the lender received the money, West Lansing Financial would deposit my loan in the amount of $8000 into my account. Ernest Bauer ([email protected]) emailed me the contract for me to sign thru docusign. On 8/27/2018, I wired the money to my private lender in Florida because I was informed that I was not able to get a traditional loan through a bank, so they had to use a private lender. Tammy Elmore stated that the money would be in my account the next day. The next day arrived and I checked my account, nothing. So I waited until noon, checked again nothing. At approximately 1pm, Tammy Elmore called and asked me if the money was in my account. I told her no. She said that she she go see what the problem was and call me back. When she called me back, she stated that I had to pay/send them $600 for taxes to get the loan. I told her that I was not sending them anymore money because I never heard of a loan that required the borrower to pay taxes. She said that she would issue me a refund but it would take 20-30 days before I got it. I never received it. On 9/27/2018, I called to check on my refund and was informed that it would be deposited in my account on 10/05/2018. Well, as of 10/09/2018, nothing.
