WE WERE SEARCHING ON THE WEB FOR A MINI AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD. FOUND WESTBROOK HAD SEVERAL FEMALES THAT WE WERE INTERESTED IN. REACHED OUT VIA EMAIL AND WITHIN MINUTES GOT A REPLY FROM A BROOK. HE ALSO CALLED ONCE. WE WERE SENT VIA EMAIL INSTRUCTION TO PAY AND HOW THE SHIPPING WOULD HAPPEN AT THEIR EXPENSE. HE WANTED CASH APP. WE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES , EVEN USING OUR GRANDS SON ACCOUNT WHO, USED THE APP REGULARLY. THEY TOLD US TO USE WESTERN UNION AND TO SEND TO A RONAN DEXTON. WHICH WE DID. WE WERE TOLD ON MONDAY THAT THE PUP WAS AT THE SHIPPING AGENT AND WOULD BE ON A 11 O'CLOCK FLIGHT, AND SENT US TRACKING INFO. WE NOTICED AN URGENT MESSAGE, THAT SAID WE NEED TO PURCHASE INSURANCE. WITH SCARE TACTICS, ABOUT ABANDON THE PUP, WE DID AS TOLD. ANOTHER WESTERN UNION AND TO THE SAME RONAN SEXTON WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE SECRETARY. AFTER MORE HOURS OF WAITING AND CALL, WE GOT ANOTHER E-MAIL THAT THE CRATE WAS UNEXCEPTIONABLE AND WE NEED TO SEND MORE MONEY BY WESTERN UNION. WE REFUSED AND THEY THREATENED TO REPORT TO POLICE THAT WE'S ABANDONED THE DOG. THEY ALSO SAID THAT THE BREEDER WOULD PAY PART OF THE CRATE, BUT WE KNEW BY THIS TIME THAT WE'D BEEN SCAMMED. THE ALSO HAD A COA UNTIED POLICE CALL AS A SCARE TACTIC. WE DIDN'T RESPOND. WE HAVE PLACED ALL EMAILS AND PHONE INFORMATION INTO A FILE ON OUR COMPUTER, AND HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC AND PET SCAMS.COM PDF AND IMAGES ARE UNDER MY HUSBANDS ACCOUNT.

Westbrook Shepherds Pups is an scam website. They target people who are looking for puppies during COVID-19. After emailing them to learn about the availability of a puppy, they sent over pictures of someone else's puppy (these images/videos were likely pulled from Instagram or other social media). Additionally, all the puppy photos on the website had different backgrounds which suggests the puppies were from different litters. When we asked if we could pick up the puppy in person, they refused saying that, "Shipping was the only option during COVID-19." Given the alarming red flags, we did not communicate further with them.

I searched online for an Australian Shepherd puppy breeder Westbrook shepherds.com came up there was pictures of puppies and there was a contact us I clicked on that I filled out their form asking if the puppy was available. The next day I got an email from them and a text. The email had pictures and videos the text message asking me about what type of puppy we wanted when we were thinking of buying we discuss the price they told me via email and text message that it was $800 for the puppy plus $100 for shipping they went over the shipping process with me they asked me to do a cash app purchase which I found weird but I have recently purchased a dryer and I paid with cash app and everything was fine so I thought it was fine but the cash app did not go through then they asked me to do a Western Union and I I did the $900 wire to send them the money. It was weird because they were telling me they were in Ohio but I needed to Western Union the money to Pennsylvania they explained to me that that’s where the accountant was. The email had pictures and videos the text message were asking me about when we were at what type of puppy we wanted when we were thinking of buying we discuss the price they told me via email and text message that it was $800 for the puppy plus $100 for shipping they went over the shipping process with me they asked me to do a cash app purchase which I found weird but I have recently purchased a dryer and I paid with cash app and everything was fine so I thought it was fine but the cash app did not go through then they asked me to do a Western Union and I did that I want and I did the $900 wire to send them the money now it was weird because they were telling me they were in Ohio but I needed to Western Union the money to Pennsylvania they explained to me that that’s where the accountant was I expressed concern and that I wasn’t comfortable they assured me that as soon as they receive the money they were going to send me a contract for me to sign with the information to protect myself and to protect them they sent me a contract which I’m uploading here and they told me they would ship the puppy the next day which was today I got a text message from the suppose it breeder saying that they had drop the puppy off at the shipping company and that I would be hearing from the shipper I ask him the name of the shipping company and they told me global County I looked up the website the website seems pretty legit then I got an email from the suppose it shipper saying that I needed to pay them $1690 for pet insurance and if I didn’t that they were going to report me for pet abuse and that I needed to do it otherwise they were going to keep the puppy.
