It started on 10/12/2020 when I paid for a puppy through a website I located on facebook. They connected me to this shipping site. I was agreeable and was so excited to receive the puppy. It started out I needed to pay $980 for the insurance on the puppy to travel. I was happy to pay at first because I figure that it would make sure the puppy was safe. Once I transferred the money I got confirmation that the puppy was on the way. They arrived at Atah terminal which is in Mexico I believe. I was kind of worried about why they had to go there first. They then emailed me the puppy needed vaccination for $560 which I did not want to pay because I did not have the money to send. I was able to get money from my grandmother to help me make sure the puppy was safe. They sent me another confirmation that the puppy was on its way to colorado for a stop then to my house. They told me I would not pay one more cent. Once they got to colorado the puppy had to under go quarantine for 4 days. I was very upset about this but I let it be. The quarantine started on the 15th October. I messaged them on Monday the 19th asking if they would be shipping her this way. They stated it was 4 business days which makes no sense because the virus does not go away over a weekend. I continued to wait for my puppy. They messaged me on the following Thursday the 22nd of October and told me I needed to transfer more money. I told them I would not do that because I didn't believe it. I told them to use the other money I sent to cover her stay. They since then have not responded including the so called breeder. I am very upset and want to make sure they never do this again to a human as it was a financial loss for my family.
