the website's online form and received an email within an hour. After a pleasant email exchange, I decided to
purchase the puppy. Paid $800 via Zelle for the puppy ($600) and transport ($200), the funds were accepted
immediately. I did some further online research and realized after the fact, that we had been scammed.
The following day (10/2/20), I found a phone number and decided to call. It was difficult to understand what he
was saying, as the connection was poor and he had thick accent. I had asked the following questions:
1) What service do they use to ship the puppy (not audible)?
2) Can we receive a refund before arrangements were made (answer was yes)?
3) Can we have a video chat, so we can meet the puppy (answer was no)?
After that phone conversation, I had my husband send a new inquiry from his email for the same puppy (after
transaction had been made) and he received the same initial email response on 10/3/20 as I did. It was confirmed
that we had been scammed. I reached out once again on Sunday, 10/4/20 requesting a refund and a follow-up email on 10/6/20 and I have not received a response.
