Type of a scam Employment
The next day was payroll, so I provided my bank information, the female interviewer stated Nielsen would pay off my credit card, because employees need good credit. Well, my credit card was paid off, one to two days later, $6,750 was deposited into my bank account for the purpose of purchasing, then installing equipment needed for my new data entry job.
Next, I was asked to go to Dollar General, purchase two $500 gift cards as well as an $200 gift card. The interviewer told me $50 was to put gas in a vehicle, or to get a taxi. I was sent pictures of the specific gift cards to purchase; Apple and Zara. The interviewer asked, are you at the store? Send a picture of the cards to ensure I was purchasing the correct one.
I want that money out of my bank account, but don’t know how to go about doing that. I requested my bank account be shut down, I would like to be fired immediately, especially since I was seeking gainful employment; nobody’s runner, nor engaging in illegal activities.
I’ve since filed an complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), informed the Nielsen Company, New York branch about this fraudulent, misleading, scam under their business name, and of course my bank. The Nielsen Company representative let me know, you can only become an employee with them through their .com website.
