My friend was reached out through whatsapp for an private trading job that promised good money. At the beginning she was making good money, she had to put in her own money for it to work though. Slowly the sums required to be deposited increased (to thousands) and at this point she believed them because again she had been making profit (hundred here and there). She didn’t have enough money to get the sum above zero so I put in $2500 CAD. Long story short the processing of the money took over a day and they said if we didn’t give them $3200 USD in under 48 hours they would freeze the account. We did not send them anything. In fear and desperation we contacted this fraud/scam helping organization and they claim to have connections to the FCA and the FCAA but they are the P****** ************ ***. They told us to put $1049.45 CAD in my friends crypto wallet (meta mask) and to then send it to the scammers to lure them out apparently and it worked but now i fear that that too was also a scam. They said in under 24 hours my friend would receive her money owed to her, which was around $20,000 CAD. We quite literally have no money to sustain our living conditions for longer than a month. I have a bit of money in my account, only enough for rent but she has literally NOTHING. I have no idea what to do, we need immediate help. I don’t think we can go on much longer, we are university students. Times are extremely dire. We have evidence of all of this, literally everything. I also recorded the call with the individual who said they would help us get the money back to us. I have the documents and all kinds of evidence. I tried reaching out to my local police and they couldn’t really be of help and didn’t hear us out. I don’t know what to do or where to go from here. I pray to god that the person wasn’t lying about returning the money but at this point I can’t trust anyone. Please help us.
