I got offered an interview via Signal Messenger App and the interview was purely instant messaging. At first I thought it was legit because of the website they provided. The website seemed valid. I contacted the people from the company using the info on their website to confirm if they're actually hiring in the USA since they're based on New Zealand. I was thinking maybe the website and the company are real but the person who interviewed me was a scammer. On the same day of my interview after few hours, I got the remote job. Out of excitement, I provided them my address because they said they will deliver me a check to buy all the accounting software I need for the job. I got the check but I haven't touched it due to fear that they will report it as stolen if I cash it out.

I was approached via text to download the Signal app and someone named Mila Noah would contact me and interview me via text. After I completed the interview process, they hired me within 30 minutes. Mila told me that I would receive a check and that I had to deposit it in my bank. It was actually a cashier's check. After I deposited it, Mila wanted me to withdraw the funds and deposit it in a bitcoin ATM. Just seems very strange.
