Listed my car on auto trader and received an "interested party" email. The potential buyer would only come to see the car if I paid for a "WB' report. I said I had a carfaxreport and was happy to provide it for them and they declined, saying they had bad experiences before with car fax and that if I wanted them to come see car I would have to pay for the report first. I even offered for them to buy "their preferred" report and deduct off sales price if purchased.NO SHOW

Not sure if the scam was to boost web sales or phish for my CC info... also they never answered the phone number..always went to a generic VM for a text to call line.
