I purchased Christmas presents from Whiskey Variety. The cost was $111.00. I received an email telling me to send the money via Venmo, Cashapp, etc. I sent the money using Venmo, thinking maybe it was a new way for businesses to get there payments. I then contacted them via emailt to tell them the payment had been made. Then I recieved and email stating the order was being processed. I got an email from a place called Rapid Freighters, a big transport company. For 3 little boxes? They wanted to to pay $100 for insurance on the package. They gave me a number to call, said they could get me the insurance for $100 from State Farm. I said I have State Farm, tell me what to do and I'll call my agent. All of a sudden the tune changed. Then I was told the payment had to go through them, and it had to be through my checking account. NOPE! I told them to keep the package or send it back to Whiskey Variety, they said they can't do that. I feel like I'm not the only person who these companies have taken advantage of. I'm a disabled woman who is really upset that I let myself be taken for $111.00 by these terrible people. I should have known better and cancelled everything right a way. But now I'm out $111.00. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. IT'S A SCAM! And you cannot get in touch with anyone to speak to them. I tried calling the phone number and can't get through. I looked up the address that they are using and it is a residential place. Don't be stupid like me.
