The caller name Chris (no last name) claimed I still had an outstanding payday loan and asked if I had dealing with Sterling & Associates who is not paying on payday loan collections and that I could get recovery of money I paid to them back, but I still need to pay the debit off. He gave me an attorney number of a Ernie Stevens at 904-729-7059. What set off the red flags on this one was I needed to make my payments by Western Union or Zelle to the 904-729-7059 numbers and send all my documentation on Sterling & Associates to the e-mail address to [email protected] which is not a company address.
