We own a 1,000 sq.ft. flat roof adobe and that estimate was stated at about $1K for the job, to be followed up by a firm quote by the owner based on a Satellite/Google image of our roof area. Our records will show that our roof area is 1,000 sq ft.
The day after the estimate, we received an email from ******** F. (Business owner of White Coat) quoting us $3,564.00 for the job (3 1/2 X the offer). They took my personal information, wasted our time and lost our trust. Based on ******'s estimate and the online offer, we turned off all other bids/contractors. After making a poor review of the business, the owner defamed me in the reply (screenshot and phone records available) and now we are hard-pressed to find another roofer. We are presently out the $0.99/sq ft offer that is available to everyone and need to start the entire process from scratch. We believe this to be a bait and switch, defrauding us in a deception.
