There was a job listing on the Google Job search with a complete listing, including the job title, job description, company name, compensation, benefits, and requirements. The targeted individual applied to the listing and a week later received an email from a third party asking her to email [email protected] to schedule an interview. After contacting the person on the email address given, the targeted individual was asked to download the Wire communication app and contact @widexhiring to schedule an interview. The interview was an entirely text based conversation with someone claiming to be Kimberley Kent. She was almost immediately hired. They asked for her to send a scan of her ID to them with her acceptance letter. They sent her money meant to be used to buy equipment for the home office, however they wanted her to purchase the equipment from individual "vendors," people not companies. Each transaction was cancelled and the targeted individual stopped replying at this point. "Kimberley" asked the targeted individual to go to an ATM and when the targeted individual stopped replying to messages and emails, began threatening to take legal action over the money.
