How devastated my daughter was
The kitten was chosen and we were so excited
I thought from their website and them screening me asking me questions about our vets and an application They had TICA and another cat breeders seal on their website
I was told they were in Montana once I looked again at their website telling a coworker about our kitty I just bought sending money through PayPal I noticed their location was in California
The lady Selena Holly said my payment did not go through she would send me a request for more money I called PayPal and my credit card
This individual told me I had to send money through as friend family now I know PayPal told me they can not help me unless I chose it was a business They knew what they were doing
I am beyond upset and sick about this

and I have been a victim of an online Pet Scam.
On 1/26/21 we purchased a cat from William Adams Birman Kittens. (http://birmankittens.company.com). They never provided us a phone number and only communicated through email. We signed documents electronically with them, and paid for the cat via CashApp. After the breeders “processed” the documents we were transferred to the shipping agency to complete the logistics of the transfer.
The shipping company is United Safe Flights Inc. We have been in contact via email ([email protected]) and phone calls (###-###-####) with them in regards to transferring the cat from North Dakota to Florida. They provided us with documents that were required for transfer. On 1/29/21 we were notified the cat was on a plane to Atlanta. We were then informed the cat had made it to Atlanta (1/30/21). Once in Atlanta, United Safe Flight sent us an invoice for $1,000 for a vaccine the cat needed and that this will delay the cat departing a day. The next day (1/31/21), we received another email from them saying they needed an additional $1,290 for permits/insurance/ect. Today, they informed us via a CDC document that the cat has covid and they need us to send them an additional $5,300 for vaccines and they will be holding onto the cat for 7 more days.
We just got off the phone with the real United Safe Shippers Inc and they informed us that they do not ship live animals.
We were scammed for $3,000.
We have begun the process of cancelling the transactions and will be filing a report with the police.
As first time victims of being scammed, we welcome any and all advice for proceeding further.
Thank you,
