Virtual Assistant Scam

I was first contacted on LinkedIn by a member who I now, can no longer see. They offered me the position of Virtual Assistant, which I replied to via email expressing my interest. The conversation carried over through email, they asked for my home address to send a check of $3,950 to cover first weeks pay and computer expenses. A week later I received an email saying they could not send the check because their account department is ill with cancer… and could offer me a mobile check option. Then they signed the email with “Wolfe Stanley Law Firm”? I read the other few reports on scam pulse and they are identical. Too good to be true, it’s a scam!
