He’s telling me his name is Robert and his wife’s name is Catherine and before I pay I want to know if it’s a scam :((
My husband & I lost our 4 yr old dachshund baby girl a week ago & I started looking online for dachshunds. I found the William Dachshund site. WE ORDERED TWO!
After spending 1400.00 for the supposed dogs, we were contacted by Christian Pet Shipping & told it was URGENT & that we had to purchase a thermal crate due to weather & the type of dogs we were having shipped. We were told the delivery person would either give us cash or write a check to reimburse us 100 % for the crate.
They said they’d transfer the dogs back to the crate from the breeders & return the thermal crate to the airline. I emailed the “breeder” & was told they didn’t know the dogs would require a different crate, that those crates were expensive & to make sure & get our $ refunded. I even asked the “breeder” if they would pay for the thermal crate & that they be reimbursed instead of us.
So we paid another 1500.00.
The last red flag was when ANOTHER person called to say we had to pay 2000.00 for dog insurance. That the puppies were in Atlanta, GA and they couldn’t guarantee the puppies safe travel w/o insurance. They had an amazing website where you could track the dogs travel. It showed times & that the puppies were in GA & pending an insurance payment. I kept emailing w/the “breeder” & was fed more BS to why.
I kept emailing CALL ME NOW!
The excuse was they were at work & had a very strict phone call policy, that I should communicate w/ the person asking for ANOTHER 2000.00.
Thank God my husband said NO MORE, it’s a scam!
Everything was “Urgent” & playing on our empathy. Like: the dogs needed temperature controlled crate, waiting for payment before they could get them on the plane, flight leaving in less than 2 hours & we were told unless we bought the 2000. Insurance they couldn’t refund our crate upgrade. Saying repeatedly: I PROMISE YOU - you will be refunded the 3500. from the delivery driver arriving at our house @ 9:10pm straight from the airport w/the puppies.
I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THIS SITE BEFORE SPENDING 2,900.00 !
I did look multiple times for dachshund scams & didn’t see any until now. I even put in William Dachshunds

So here we are with pet blankets & beds, dog food & treats, harnesses & leashes ordered & there are NO PUPPIES on their way, there NEVER WERE!
My husband just retired & this is a financial HIT we didn’t need!
We are barely recovering from the death of our beloved dachshund & NOW we’ve been scammed!
I pray others won’t be fooled like we were!
