I was looking to purchase a Teacup Yorkie puppy and found willspupmansion.net online. I inquired about a puppy named Jenny, through the website’s contact button. I received an email response saying Jenny was available for $500.00 with free shipping. I was asked about my age, if there were any children in the home, when I wanted the puppy, if I was adopting for pet or breeding purposes, and if I had a vet. I checked the ScamPulse.com for Wills Pup Mansion and it wasn’t listed so I answered the questions. I was then asked to send the $500 via Zelle to a Nicole Lovato. Once the money was sent, she asked for a photo confirmation. Later I received another email, claiming the paperwork was complete and that the delivery agency would email me with a copy of the Change of Ownership document to sign so they can provide me with flight details. I followed the instructions and shortly after received an email from JFK Pet Airways stating that due to a weather change I needed to pay $1,650 (95% of which would be refundable upon delivery) for an air conditioned crate. They wouldn’t take a debit or credit card and requested I use either Zelle, Moneygram, or Western Union. This seemed suspicious so I checked ScamPulse.com and found that this company had run this on others. I contacted Nicole to inform her that I thought the company was a scam and received this response, “Scam ? What are you talking about ??? I just received the message from them about the crate and they told me that measures are being taken to avoid suffocating the puppy and also die to the COVID 19 so I don’t see how bad this is unless you want the baby to die”. Because I signed the Change of Ownership paperwork, they will no longer refund me.
