I seen a email on my computer stating that I need to renew my service with Microsoft Defender Protection, with a 1 year subscription. At that point I called the customer service number on the email (1 845 285-1909), to tell them that we do not want this service and do not debit our account. At this, time the guy immediately stated that he could reimburse my money, and that is when he asked what the amount to refund, I told him $250.00, that was stated on the email, and he than got very aggressive in getting my info and logging into my computer. He then went thru all my accounts and logged into a site to transfer the refund, (ask any) site, then he told me to type in the $250.00, and he said that I put $2,5000, in and he could not fix it, at this point he flashed the $2500.00 amount over the computer real fast, and then told me he could loose his job, if he did not get this money back. So then he told me to go to Target and Lowes to get Gift Cards, in the amount of $2100.00, to refund his over payment, and do not tell anyone, he told me exactly what to tell the salesman, when purchasing the cards and to not hang the phone up, or log off my computer, until he got the info off the cards, on Friday, 1 April 2022. He called back on Saturday 2 April 2022, stating he did not get the money off the gift cards and then he tried to go into Zelle account in my parents account in Florida. That step did not work. I was told it was a scam by my daughter on Saturday afternoon. I went into defense mood at this tiime.
