The scammer is using the name Paul Heyman and insisted that I need to be at a computer in order to access and cancel subscription for Windows Microsoft I continued to tell him I did not have a subscription and he did not have my information on file he refused to listen and Wouldn’t take no for an answer. I asked for a supervisor he said was not available I then asked for a phone number to call him back he put me on hold and said it was not available it was under maintenance. I asked him to tell me what my name was he put me on hold And when he came back on the line he told me my first name then tell me my last name was something that it was not as if reading from a script. When I told him I had to hang up he said he was the one that was assigned to my computer and he had to be the one to help me or I would be charged for the service. So I asked him what are the last four digits on the credit card and he could not tell me and argued with me more. I told him I needed to hang up he argued with me more and told me I couldn’t get off the phone that he had to be the one to help me once again and told me I was making a mistake. I then called Microsoft windows gave them my phone number they sent me an access code for confirmation then was able to speak to me and they let me know that it was a scam that they did not have me on file as having any subscription with them

A man named Allen called stating he was from Windows Technical Support. He said my computer had been hacked and he would help me fix it. He wanted me to go on my computer, but I wasn't comfortable with that. He was very persistent.

Robo call - "warning breach in windows firewall detected" - directs recipient to call tech support number

While I was on my computer, this page came up & made it impossible for me to get rid of it or leave the page. Since I believed they were technical support from Windows, like they said they were, I called the number to get help. After taking over my computer remotely & receiving $250.00 payment via credit card, they told me they had fixed the problem but would need an additional $400.00 to make sure it didn’t happen again. I didn’t have the money, but They wouldn’t stop trying to get it, so I finally hung up. When I told my daughter about it a couple of weeks later, she told me I had been scammed. They have since contacted me by email trying to get more money from me again.

"Windows Technical Support" called on the phone. I said Hello three times before someone answered on the calling end. The Indian accented male caller said he had been given my number because my system would soon crash and he would assist me in ridding my computer of the issues. Then he asked if I had a computer, a real giveaway that he's not legit, and besides, no tech company calls a customer, especially at random. I've heard of these scams before and this isn't the first time these lying undesirables have called me. I gave the guy a hard time by answering his questions with questions of my own. He eventually called me some very rude names and hung up.

My wife was online, not looking at anything in particular that she can think of. When all of a sudden her screen was frozen and RED with alerts from "windows", not to shut it down or her personal information might be compromised: 1 Passwords 2. Browser History 3. Credit Card Information 4. Local Hard Disk Files.

We called, and they answered only as "support".

Numerous calls all from area code 523. Claims to be Windows tech support and when your computer sends an error report, it goes to them. Wants to remote in to my computer to "fix" the problem. No matter how many times I tell them I'm not I interested and to stop calling me, I hang up and within 5 minutes they call again. I block each number they call from but they just keep calling.

Contacted by phone and was told that hackers have been trying to hack into my computer numerous times and was told that the only way to stop the problem was to get on the computer so that he could, "fix the problem ". When in reality, he was going to hack into my computer to download personal information (banking, identity) for his personal financial gain.

This company continues to call from the number listed and different numbers including an unavailable number claiming to be Windows Tech Support or our Internet Service Provider. Once we refuse to allow them access to any devices they tell us they have a refund to give us for previous services rendered and ask for credit card acct information. They call at least 5 times a day.

Upon answering the phone, the scammer stated his name (with an accent) and said he was from Windows Technical Support. He asked if I was the owner of "this computer". I asked "which computer". Then he said hello again and I said hello and again he asked if I was the owner of this computer and I again stated "which computer".

I was scammed last year by a similar company. They said I had a virus and then locked my computer. Asked me to pay a fee to fix the problem. I realized it was a scam. I just received a call from Microsoft Technical Support today. The caller sounds like she's in India. She tried to get me again, but luckily I knew it was a scam this time. Guess I just have to keep hanging up.

They identify themselves as Windows Technical Support. They say they are receiving an error report on the Windows Centralized Server indicating there is a problem with my computer. They wanted me to push CTRL the Windows symbol icon key on my computer and the letter R.

When I asked what devise the error code was coming from and what the numbers showed he read me the following:888DCA60-5C0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062 I said that is not an identification number on my computer. I said to take me off their call list and to never call back. I will not give out any numbers or information off my computer. They would not give me a call back number. I was on the line for a long time and called *69 after the call which identifies the number they called from. It was 702-380-0128

I received a phone call from a man who claimed his name was John. He said, I am showing to have a windows support issue(Microsoft). He then asked did I have a computer. I him I have a tech support manager, thank you for notifying me. He laughed and hung up! This is the 4th time I have contacted by this scam. they are always from a New York area code. Thanks to you (BBB) I am aware of this scam, so I never share any information.

Received several phone calls, caller said he was Window Tech Support Center and my computer was sending error signals and if I didn't correct my computer would be shut down and useable. Caller had heavy foreign accent and was trying to bully me into following his computer directions.

Told caller to stop calling and I was going to report him to ScamPulse.com and police.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and had same technical issues. Not sure how this scammer got my home phone.

I have had numerous calls from a person who says he works for Windows tech support and has a web site called wefix.com. He first says he is getting many errors coming from my PC. He wants me to get in front of my computer to walk me through the fix. I repeatedly asked him for his call back number and full name throughout our conversation but he refrained from giving me any contact info. When I told him I am very interested in resolving my errors and would take my PC to BestBuy he was more forthcoming with info. It is probably bogus info. His caller ID comes in as all zeros or unlisted. He gave me his name Jacob Martin with a call back number of 347-305-2013. It is probably bogus! I also got a price from him of $165 to repair my PC. In a previous call I asked after he talked about my PC errors if he was ok with me recording our conversation. He immediately hung up. He does not remember he has already talked to me as I disguise my voice to pull more info from him. This guy will call me tomorrow if would like to listen to his scam!

They called stating that they have found error messages coming from my computer, but my computer was not on at all. The call sounded fishy, so I asked them for their number so that I can call back. The person, who I was speaking with, asked someone in the background for the number. Of course, Windows' employees don't have to do that. I was given the number 855-666-6703 and was told to ask for John Smith when I called back.

So when I called back, I asked for John Smith and I was told to hang up and John Smith will call me back. Again, very strange!! They called me back from 732-592-1025. A person, other than the person I initially spoke with, asked how can he help me. I said, "You just called me stated that I had computer errors showing." He started stuttering as if he had no clue of what I was talking about. Then he proceeded to ask me if I was in front of my computer. I hung up the phone after that.

Microsoft technical support Rose Dawson called me regarding my computer needing service. I let them remotely correct the 58000 supposed hackers on my computer. I paid them $500. I tried calling g and the phone number doesn't work. I don't have an address. Please help me. I was scammed.

I have been getting phone calls 2-3 times per week from someone from "Windows Technical Support" for the past 2 months. When I answer the phone the person has an Indian accent and tells me that my computer has a virus on it and they can help me fix it. They want access to my computer and a credit card number to fix the problem. I believe this is a scam, because windows does not call customers for this reason and I don't even own a windows computer. I have told them I know it is a scam, I don't own a computer, and they need to stop calling, but they only hang up and call again several times later. I have even told them I am on the national do not call list and my state's do not call list, but I keep getting the calls. The phone number is always an out of area number or a random number I have tracked to Canada.

Man had foreign accent called our residential landline from a California phone number he claimed he was from Micrsoft Windows Technical Support said our computer is being hacked and we need to follow his instruction. My father proceeded with his request to open up command prompt and repeat the numbers displayed. The man then attempted to have my father install a software program before he ran the program i told my father to hang up this is a scam.

Caller (phone number not displayed on caller ID - came up as Not Available 16027) claims to be from "Windows Technical Support". Tries to gain remote access to computer. I read about this scam online and hung up on the caller without giving personal info or access to computer.
