My mother, Sally Shaw, 85 years old, made a one-time donation through this website to support Nikki Haley as a political candidate on February 14, 2023. Then was billed again on November 17th (unauthorized). She continued to try to cancel any more payments with no response or help from the organization. She continued to get multiple charges on the same day for months. She contacted Chase in September, October, and November to get help. By the time I found out about this during this past week, they had charged her card with over $18,000, with multiple payments charged every day. As an elderly person, she thought calling the credit card company and getting a new card issued would fix the problem and she was embarrassed so she continued to try to fix it on her own. Now that I stepped in and got her card put on a complete block, Chase is working on disputes but they have to do a new case for each transaction which is well into the hundreds so it will take time to get her money back on a fixed income. Chase is also saying that they can't do anything about the charges made more than 180 days ago. I also tried canceling any payments through winred.com but to get to anyone to chat with or get to a cancel button, they are requiring that I give them phone numbers, last 4 digits of the credit card, mailing address, etc. I refuse to give them any more information, especially the last 4 digits of the new credit card issued as a replacement. I have since found out that this same company has done this with 3-4 friends of my mom as well and that there have been lawsuits in other states and some through attorney general of some states because of these same practices. This "business" is scamming people out of their money and making it impossible to get it to stop and to get refunds, and unfortunately, the majority of the people are elderly.
